The long-running transfer saga over the highly rated German International defender Cristian Metzelder finally ends today, with official confirmation that he has joined Liverpool.
Owen Gowle has stated that " We are over the moon to have signed such a world-class player as Cristian to help build both for the present and future. Luckily for us , he's a lifelong Beatles fan and the Chairman was able to offer him one of John Lennon's former homes to sweeten the deal bringing him to Anfield rather than Stamford Bridge ."
