Aston Villa and Portsmouth were held 2-2 at half-time - goals from Kachloul & Hendrie (villa) and Taylor & Berger (ports), but a quick goal in the 2nd half through Johnsen was enough for Villa to edge the game.

After a 0-0 between Cardiff & Torquay in 90mins extra-time was to see two goals – extra-time finished 1-1 after all the drama, but the shoot-out was a massive 4-1 too Cardiff who knocked out the League 2 side.

Which eventually saw Chelsea beat Bolton 2-0 after a great game from both sides.
Hull City almost produced a massive shock, Hasselbaink’s first goal struck on 28mins – but Burgess hit back in the 2nd half for Hull on 53mins,
But it was Hasselbaink again on 54mins which looked to have secured it for Boro,
Hull then suddenly broke through against the run of play and Price levelled on 79mins,
As the game went on into extra-time Viduka put Middlesboro in front again after 95mins, the game finished 3-2 and Middlesboro will count them selves lucky.
